The PALECEK Designer Inspiration Chair Challenge
When PALECEK asked five interior designers across the United States, from New York, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, to design their fantasy inspiration chair demonstrating PALECEK’s customization ability, the PALECEK Designer Inspiration Showcase was born. With the chairs now complete, the five designers’ fantasy chairs will be unveiled in the PALECEK showroom April 20-25th, during High Point. And one lucky winner will be chosen at random by PALECEK to win his or her favorite chair in the showcase.

But first, more about choice number three: Charmain Carr’s Hollywood Chair.
About Charmian Carr’s Hollywood Chair Design
Los Angeles based designer Charmian Carr, known to millions as Liesl Von Trapp from The Sound of Music, chose to follow her heart when she became an interior designer. Carr credits her interest in interior design to the film itself. “When I was working on The Sound of Music, I used to follow the set designer, Boris Levin, around on the set. I was completely inspired by the beauty of his work. It wasn’t until Charmian married and owned her own home, however, that she entered the design field, “Visitors saw my home, asked me who designed it, and hired me to do their own homes.”
The Hollywood chair is Carr’s fantasy design for PALECEK. The black lacquered frame is upholstered in a vibrant ikat print, with a leather back panel and an animal print lumbar pillow trimmed with fringe.
