“The difference between successful people and very successful people is that very successful people say ‘no’ to almost everything.” I read this quotation by Warren Buffet almost a year ago, and took a picture of it to save on my phone. I refer to it all the time because, well, it’s difficult for me to say ‘no.’ It’s actually difficult for me to even think ‘no,’ because then the inner turmoil of how to say ‘no’ begins. The thought of saying ‘no’ can be so uncomfortable that I’ll go out of my way to come up with ways to say ‘yes,’ even if it is more inconvenient and I have to jump through a few hoops to make the ‘yes’ happen.
Wondering if anyone can relate. If you can, I hope you’ll find Warren Buffet’s statement as encouraging for getting to ‘no’ as I do.
