DIFFA 2013 at the AD Home Show

Hi, I am Courtney Price from CourtneyPrice.com, here today to talk about tabletop inspiration. If you are like me, you might be low on entertaining ideas from time to time.  The table setting is as important as the food in my opinion, it is your way of literally setting the stage for the show that lies ahead. A beautifully set table is a visual gift to your guests that communicates their importance to you.

I saw Sarah last month at the Architectural Digest Home Show in New York. It is always fun to see Sarah. We walked through the show together, had Marys & Mimosas with fellow bloggers and press, chatted with the BlogTourNYC group and found our way into the inspiring Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) exhibit. More than 40 designers showed us how to spice up our entertaining.

Feast your eyes on a few of the tables, pictured below.

This table had a mix of interesting things going on. The patterns had an optical effect and the black and white-ness of the scheme was powerful. The gorgeous flowers added a big punch of energy to the theme, and the natural crystals and minerals added an interesting dimension to the look. Very energetic and happy.

Great ideas. I really liked the Asian inspired and of course the boots. I liked the accents around the table, and the boots are a whimsical approach to decorating. It helps you remember anything can work with some imagination!

  • I agree – amazing photography!
