Welcome back to my ‘Best of #HPmkt’ coverage! This week I’ve been covering my favorite Hooker Furniture (HF) pieces: on Monday I shared what a wonderful High Point Market visit I had, and how my tour of the Hooker Furniture (HF) showroom on Lynn‘s behalf was a highlight of my experience. I featured my favorite chests, and on Wednesday, my favorite chairs. To conclude my spotlight on HF, today’s post showcases five of their brand new pieces from Spring Market 2013.  These pieces are so new that they’re not even yet on HF’s website. I’m happy to give you a sneak peek. Here we go!

Hooker Furniture Newest Pieces

Now just as I mentioned on Monday and Wednesday, I like to give my clients visual examples, whether a tearsheet, a photo, or a sketch, to help them visualize how the fabulous furnishings we’re considering will come to life and function fluidly in their home. For each of these new pieces I have also done just that. A little bit more about each one:

01 The Lana Bed.  Upholstered in a charcoal grey faux mohair, the curved scalloped headboard and curvy metal feet make this my favorite new piece from Hooker Furniture. The feminine 1940’s shape, and style, combined with the dark tactile upholstery make this a perfect bed for a bedroom with smoky grey walls and drapery, with silver and gold accents.

02 The Brantley Nesting Ottomans. A long, tufted ottoman like the Brantley is wonderful in lieu of a traditional coffee table. This one has a matching pair of small tufted ottoman nested underneath, ideal for occasional seating in a study or family room like the one pictured below.

03 The Workwell Mirrored Desk. The small footprint (42-64 inches wide) and option of a companion lateral file and comfortable, stylish desk chair make each of 11 new workwell desks such a great new option for working at home. As you know from my Home Office Heaven inspiration board on pinterest, I believe that no living space is too small to have a little desk and chair to get stuff done. The Workwell Mirrored Desk would be equally at home in a dressing room or residential work space because of it’s chic mirrored finish, shapely silhouette, and ability to accommodate a petite space.

04 The Pompelli Red Croc Chest. With a color reminiscent of vintage leather books, this deep, rich burgundy red chest with its menswear belt-buckle inspired hardware would make a handsome bedside table.

05 The Bentley Dining Table.  An aluminum top with hammered nail head pin details give this 48-inch diameter table a slight suggestion of an edgy industrial feel, and makes for a beautiful dining room centerpiece.
