In 2010, the fashion designer forayed into furniture, with his own furniture collection for the Paris-based furniture and home accessories brand, Roche Bobois. This winter, Roche Bobois has partnered with the Brooklyn Museum to showcase the Jean Paul Gaultier Collection as part of the Museum’s The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk exhibit,

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Hooker Furniture.  Hooker Furniture has been producing stylish, high-quality furniture since 1924.

While shopping High Point Market this Fall, I great time visiting the Hooker Furniture showroom. One of the largest furniture showrooms I’ve had the pleasure of touring, Hooker Furniture’s High Point flagship is the perfect place to view the top interior design trends to look for in 2014,

Last week I had a blast shopping High Point Market, the largest international to-the-trade furnishings industry show in the world. Located in the central part of the state of North Carolina, the city of High Point is 70 miles north of Charlotte and 70 miles southwest of the Raleigh/Durham area.  High Point Market encompasses 180 buildings in the downtown showroom district of the city of High Point, and draws more than 75,000 people for the show’s six day duration every Spring and Fall.

Celerie Kemble

One of the many highlights of my visit to High Point Market in April was viewing the new collection by Celerie Kemble for Henredon and Maitland-Smith. For Henredon, Ms. Kemble’s collection includes upholstery and furniture, and for Maitland-Smith: lighting, accessories, and accent pieces. All will be available for purchase this Fall, through interior designers and fine furniture retailers.

As skillfully illustrated in the Master Bedroom that Celerie designed for the Hampton Designer Showhouse (open to the public through September 2nd): Kemble’s upholstery and furniture for Henredon,

David Collins Pastel Living Room

Deep Prussian blue, a watery blue, and a silvery grey create a subtly moody palette for this modern, sophisticated, and carefully edited living room. Rich silk velvet on the long, low-backed sofa, the silk area rug, and silk upholstered slipper chairs provide soft, contrasting textures that add dimension to the space.

The only pattern in the room comes from the ornate print on the draperies, with geometric elements that play nicely with the sculptural chandelier.
