Gold bracelets and bangles are the name of the game this morning. I’m wondering what your preferences are: modern minimalism of bold maximalism? And do your jewelry tastes run parralell to your interior design style? Continue reading for more.
It’s been raining quite a bit in New York this week. This can only mean that Spring is officially on its way, and that I need trench coat.
Perfect for spring, fall, and even summer, the trench coat is a classic wardrobe staple. But how to wear it? What color? Style? Length?
As part of my shopping research, I compiled many images,
While it’s completely too cold to wear these denim on denim looks in NYC at the moment, we can dream and prep for a bit milder fare – can’t we?
Known as the “Canadian tuxedo,” denim on denim is a fashion-forward look that references the 80s in an often over-sized, and updated way. An ensemble of infinite possibilities, double denim can be done dark on dark, light with light, or a mix of both.
How phenomenal is the pattern play in this African fashion editorial? There is much more gorgeous style inspiration where this came from…

MY FAVORITE NEW FACE OF YOUNG HOLLYWOOD
Between Christmas and New Year’s, Vikas and I finally got a chance to see 12 Years a Slave. It was a film we’d wanted to see since we’d seen the trailer, and it was excellent. I found Lupita Nyong’s performance as Patsey to be incredible, and the actress herself instantly became my favorite new face of young Hollywood.

DOWNTON ABBEY SEASON 4 FASHION
The fourth season of Downton Abbey begins in 1922. As the cast enters into the 1920s, they experience a pre-flapper fashion revolution. The “upstairs” ladies begin to embrace the loose, beaded, embellished, and sometimes skin-baring designs of the early Jazz Age. Inspiration for the period costumes come from style icons of day, including: Jeanne Lanvin, Madeleine Vionnet, and Paul Poiret.
As the cast enters into the 1920s,
I chanced upon these dreamy, dramatic portraits of Somali supermodel, actress, and entrepreneur Iman, done by English fashion illustrator David Downton.
They’re gorgeous and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
We’re off to attend my tiny little second cousin’s baptism this morning! Happy Sunday!
