ONLY THE ESSENTIALS
From toners to masks, to serums to peels, to exfoliators to eye creams, the number of necessary skin care items appear to increase every year. What if you travel often, are always on the go, have a limited amount of time to get ready in the morning, or little time to allot for skin care in the evening? Do you really need to use all of the products out there to take care of your skin? Not necessarily. That’s not to say that infinitely available products don’t benefit your skin, if you have the time to use them. If you don’t have the time, however, don’t worry. (I almost never have the time, either!)
1. MAKEUP REMOVER
As you have to know, makeup removal at the end of the day or as soon as you don’t need to wear it anymore is an absolute essential for healthy skin. Any residual traces of makeup on the skin will cause clogged pores, breakouts, and blemishes. In lieu of a cotton ball and liquid makeup remover, I use a makeup removal wipe pretty much as soon as I get home in the evening to cleanse every trace of product from my face.
Lately I’ve been using Simple Skincare Cleansing Facial Wipes. They’re great because, like all Simple Skincare products, they have no dyes, artificial perfumes, or harsh irritants that would otherwise upset my dry, sensitive skin. Simple Skincare’s wipes are all about skin-loving ingredients and added vitamins for natural, healthy-looking skin. I also love how instantly hydrated these wipes leave my skin, due to their formula with triple-purified water.

2. FACIAL WASH
Once your skin is clear of product, washing it in the morning and evening with a cleanser specifically for the face removes the oil, dirt, and impurities that accumulate on the skin at night and during the day.
After removing my makeup with Simple Skincare’s wipes, I’ve been using Simple Skincare Moisturizing Facial Wash, which has Pro-Vitamin B5, known to help restore, soften and smooth skin; Vitamin E, known to moisturize and improve skin condition; and Chamomile, known to keep skin calm and soothed. Simple, natural ingredients minus dyes, artificial perfumes, and harsh irritants. I like.

3. MOISTURIZER WITH SPF
The third 100% essential skin care step is a moisturizer with SPF sunscreen. All skin types benefit from moisturizer with sunscreen, whether your skin is sensitive, oily, combination, or dry.
Simple Skincare Protecting Light Moisturizer is the one I’m currently using and it’s fantastic. I liberally apply it to my face and neck where it penetrates quickly, leaving my skin feeling instantly hydrated. This unscented oil-free moisturizer, like the face wash, contains Pro-Vitamin B5, Vitamin E, and Chamomile, plus a broad-spectrum SPF 15 sunscreen that protects from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
