Yesterday evening my husband I had the pleasure of attending Bring it To The Table (BiTTT)’s Holiday Fundraiser, a wonderful night of music, dancing, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on which BiTTT presents its annual scholarship to a female student attending the New York School of Interior Design.
A little background on BiTTT. Founded in 2010 by Lana Lawrence, BiTTT is a networking group for the trendsetting women who are leaders in the interior design industry. Bring it To The Table gatherings are for the New York City women behind the city’s high fashion homes and luxury hotels. Members (like myself) attend conferences, seminars, panels, and workshops geared towards continued growth and development. BiTTT is a place to share resources, experience, and establish meaningful connections in the industry. Through hard work, intelligence, and dedication the group strives for excellence.
So it is no wonder that Lana, the woman behind BiTTT has also created this annual Holiday Fundraiser to benefit scholarship and mentorship of one very deserving New York School of Interior Design student. Sponsors of this year’s event include: A. Logan Insurance, Anthony Lawrence – Belfair, Benjamin Moore, Carlisle, Cliff Young, ltd, Crestron, Doodle Home, Hailey Development Group LLC, J. Pocker and Son , Marisa Pellegrini, MZ Movers, New York Drapery Care, Shelly Tile, St Charles, and the Stephanie Odegard Collection.
Now a glimpse of the many designers in attendance, like myself, who gathered to share a toast and support the next generation of great New York design.
And there she is on the left: the New York School of Interior Design student who is this year’s recipient of the BiTTT Design & Mentorship Scholarship Award, Interior Designer & Scholarship Mentor Alexa Hampton, David Sprouls, President of the New York School of Interior Design, and Interior Designer & Scholarship Mentor Vicente Wolf (see a past post I did on his beautiful work).
Looking very glamorous together: Interior Designer Felicia Zwebner, Guest, Attillo La Manna, Executive President of Get2Living, Raffaello Marino, Manhattan District Manager of Selected Estates of Europe, Ltd., and Lana Lawrence.
Engrossed in conversation with the gentlemen to her left and right, Stephanie Odegard, Creative Director and President of Stephanie Odegard Collection.
A well dressed trio: Izzy Jimenez, Sales Administrator at Anthony Lawrence-Belfair, Vikas Sarna (my amazing husband – click here to read the story of how we met), and Joe Calagna, President of Anthony Lawrence-Belfair and The ALB Design Center of Chelsea.
What an elegant event for an amazing cause.
