MAY BEAUTY REVIEW

Today I’m reviewing a selection of beauty products that I’ve sampled this month. All of the products were appealing to me in multiple ways, whether it was the packaging, an enticing description, the scent, or all of the above. Start the slideshow below to find out how each item added up—and most importantly: what to score versus what to skip.

BORGHESE Eclisssare ColorRise Blush in Stunner

Borghese is a brand that I knew about, but had never tried. I wear blush every day, so I was interested right away in the “ColorRise” element of the product description (“Hmmm, what does it mean?! I have to try it!”). It means that the color is incredibly build-able.

“Stunner,” the shade I tried (I like the name, too), is a sheer, gorgeous shade that immediately became my new favorite blush. It comes in paper gift-box packaging, in lieu of hard plastic, and the color just glides on so well. I apply “Stunner” with the contour brush from this brush set in order to sculpt, contour, and define my cheekbones, and I love the effect.
