In small space living, like here in New York City, maximizing transitional space is ultra important. Solutions for ways to transform dead space in a passageway, hallway, or underutilized closet into high-functioning square footage are something every client I work with is eager to invest in. And it’s always worth it!
In this bathroom, (I’m guessing) the removal of a wall between the bathroom and closet opened up space for the walk in dressing area behind the mirror. In lieu of a wall or a door, the need for a transition between the bathroom and adjacent walk-in closet was addressed through the gradual change in floor materials from tile to wood.
