I’ve loved an off-the-shoulder silhouette since, well, Brigitte Bardot. Slowly – but surely – I’ve been adding off shoulder tops to my closet, beginning with this white one. At under $20 it’s a super steal and a very versatile wardrobe staple. This top runs true-to-size (I got it my usual: a Medium), is 100% cotton, and the bow-tie 3/4 sleeves can be worn tied, or undone, depending on mood. This particular style has elastic at the edges of the arms, which makes it a piece that requires subtle adjustment during wear. Considering the many different ways this shirt can be worn, I find the occasional adjustment worth it.
For a casual daytime event in Georgetown I paired this soft cotton top with a blue and white stripe skirt, a market tote, gladiator heels, and cat eye sunglasses. I always carry this 50 SPF sunscreen mist with me, and it comes in especially handy for a skin-bearing style like this one. Don’t forget the red lip.
