MEET CAMPION PLATT
Today’s Style Profile features New York, Palm Beach, and Hamptons–based architect and interior designer Campion Platt. For twenty years, Campion and his firm have shown clients across the country how to make modern design both sophisticated and soothing. His projects, which range from residences and boutique hotels to lines of furniture and textile collections, all embody luxury, innovation and an eco-friendly consciousness.
Campion earned a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University after completing an undergraduate degree from University of Michigan. A member of the American Institute of Architects and the Architectural League of NY, Campion is a favorite of celebrities including Al Pacino, Meg Ryan, Jay McInerney, and socialite Anne Hearst. Platt is a true leader when it comes to residential design – and, boutique hotel design, with projects such as the Mercer Hotel in New York and the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Hollywood. Campion was also a co-developer in both hotels.
Accolades for Campion and the firm have deservedly been widespread, with ranking on Architectural Digest’s “AD 100” list of the world’s top interior designers, and New York Magazine’s “The City’s 100 Best Architects and Decorators,” as well as publication in magazines from Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, Veranda, World of Interiors, and beyond. In 2010, Campion also debuted his first book, Made to Order.
