I never knew I loved flowers until I got married, and I didn’t know how in love I am with gardens until I landed in my new home state of Virginia! It is seriously lush here, to the point where museums in DC have tropical plants as part of their landscaping. With so much greenery and fertile soil in this area, gardens are a way of life here. Everyone has a garden incorporated into their property (including us), with the understanding that the outdoor spaces of a home should be just as fabulous as the insides.
In the midst of our move from New York City to McLean Virginia last month, I received Bunny William’s latest book, Bunny Williams on Garden Style. Now that we’ve moved into our new place and garden eye-candy is everywhere, it’s become one of my new favorite coffee table books to browse through whenever I’m near it. In On Garden Style, Williams travels to incredibly designed gardens all around the world, featuring the key components that make a garden so appealing and idyllic. For Bunny, gardens offer an escape, and she shares her vast knowledge on how to envision your garden and design a space that translates into a lush sanctuary reflecting your taste and style. It’s a visual feast. In the slideshow below, check out a few images from the book as well as a few Bunny Williams designed-pieces for the home.
