BlogTour Cologne 2013

I am beyond thrilled to announce that I have been selected as one of fifteen interior design and lifestyle writers to attend the first ever BlogTour Cologne, Januaray 13-18th 2012, presented by Modenus!  BlogTour invites the world’s most influential design and lifestyle bloggers to international destinations where they immerse themselves in trade shows, showrooms, design events, and local culture.  I am incredibly honored to be a part of this!

As part of this January’s BlogTour Cologne, the 15 of us (hailing from the United States, the UK, and Dubai) will travel to Germany with Modenus‘ US, UK, German editorial teams to attend the IMM (International Furniture Fair), the world’s largest design trade show, Living Kitchen, and other design destinations in Cologne before moving on to spend a day in Amsterdam for a guided tour of the City’s design hotspots in collaboration with home design magazine Eigen Huis and Interieur.

Speaking about BlogTour Cologne Veronika Miller, CEO of Modenus, a leading online interior design resource and the hub of a community which includes BlogTour participants, supporters and observers, says,

“We have never crammed so much excitement and so much inspiration into one tour. This is also the first time a single Modenus BlogTour has included more than one country. We are, of course, looking forward to IMM. It is one of Europe’s most important furniture shows and it will be fascinating to see how the bloggers, especially the American bloggers react to it…”

In 2013 Modenus‘s BlogTour will be entering its third year, with interior-design-focused tours to New Orleans, New York, London, Cologne, and Amsterdam.  Recent BlogTour Cologne in London and New York have resulted in over forty million social media impressions and hundreds of blog posts. BlogTour Cologne, with its excursion to Amsterdam can be followed on twitter with the hashtag  #BlogTourCGN and through BlogTour At-A-Glance on Modenus.com.
