Home to over 120 showrooms and representing over 3,000 manufacturers, for over 45 years The Decoration & Design (D&D) Building has been renown as the Western Hemisphere’s premier design center and a destination for designers around the world.
Every Spring the Building presents its annual Spring Market day in New York, and today is the day! Today all eighteen floors of the building are filled with events showcasing new products and highlighting designers and their expertise.
This year I’m honored to be one of “the most followed virtual voices in design;” one of 25 asked to be part of The Go Design Go Bloggers Lounge, “reporting on the day’s events, happenings, and highlights.” As part of #ddbmarket coverage I’ll be live tweeting and instagraming all day while hopping from showroom to showroom to share the latest in design.
Black and white is a classic combination, exemplified here in stripes, circles, and on the very stylish tape-trimmed roman shade.

With geometric gold print wallpaper and the warm glow of gold finishes on the faucet, mirror, and pendant, an otherwise very angular, contemporary powder room bath exudes the classic, modern, and chic look we love.

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Hope you had a great Mother’s Day Weekend (click for a pic of my mom and me on facebook). We did!
Several shades of violet and regal purple provide a dramatic backdrop for furnishings from around the world, in today’s dream daily. An oversized nineteenth century painting hangs above the low height bed, a Chinese cabinet sits by its side, a Murano chandelier hangs above, and an Indian textile lays across the foot of the bed. The overall effect is a sensual, moody bedroom that resonates, and possibly, even, reverberates.
