Up until recently, I thought I was pretty well informed when it comes to what’s healthy and what’s not. I read food and product labels, and predominantly select organic or natural options across the board. So when I learned that the Food and Drug Administration permits companies in the personal care industry to use toxic ingredients (like lead, formaldehyde, and phthalates) – linked to cancer, learning disabilities, hormone disruption, and infertility – without disclosing what’s inside, I was really surprised. I started reading about skin care and cosmetics regulation (or, the lack thereof), and decided right then and there to switch to safer products. Thankfully, I found Beautycounter, a beauty brand that puts my health first.
At Beautycounter we have what we believe to be the strictest screening process of ingredients out there. Something we’ve developed is called The Never List, a list of over 1,400 ingredients we promise never to use in any of our products. Beautycounter has been a game changer for me, providing these gorgeous, safe products for me, so I don’t have to worry about toxic ingredients. I don’t have the time to think about it. None of us do.
As a Beautycounter Consultant, my role is to personalize your experience. Shop one-on-one with me, or at a social. Reach out to me to sample products, with questions, and for help with making the best decisions for your needs. Keep in mind that I can drop off (if you’re nearby, and then pick back up) or mail you samples to try for 2-3 days, after which time I kindly request they be mailed back to me. Please note that you will then be responsible for the return shipping costs (usually around $15-20 via USPS). My personal website also allows you to shop with my directly, and is an awesome educational resource. There is so much good information on there.
