Inspired by Marie-Antoinette’s small theater in the Petit Trianon at Versailles, the Upper East Side pied-à-terre of jewelry designer Marie-Hélène de Taillac could not be more refined. When she isn’t in Paris or Jaipur, the designer resides in her Manhattan home, conveniently located three floors above her namesake boutique at 20 East 69th Street.

Dating back to the age of 3, Ms. de Taillac has loved color. As a young girl she would draw “dots of color on white paper. They were not primary colors; they were the colors of gems,” she explained to The Wall Street Journal in March. “Those are the colors I use,” she states. The same palette of lavender, pale blue, pale green, and indigo is incorporated throughout her Manhattan home.
