Renowned for its themed exhibits in the hallways of the store, Bergdorf Goodman provides one of the most unique and luxurious shopping experiences in New York, if not the world. Two BG installations are created each Fall, as well as three each Spring, and past themes have included: Cabinet of Curiosities, Blue and White, and The Gilded Age.
In keeping with Bergdorf’s standards of excellence, this Fall Aerin Lauder has partnered with the store to design a World of AERIN Hallway on the Seventh Floor, which can be seen through the second week of October.
The exhibit showcases AERIN’s Fall Collection, and was inspired by the elegant layering of turn-of-the-century European design in her grandmother, Estée Lauder’s, New York townhouse.
AERIN’s design is consistent with the luxurious feel her brand is known for, with featured pieces that include: the AERIN Heather Ceiling Light, gold Washington Bookcases, and Willow Chairs upholstered in her Talmage fabric.
Eggplant walls and grasscloth wallpaper serve as the backdrops to her new decorative accessories collection, filled with gold, ceramic, and shagreen finishes.
AERIN’s installation is worth paying Bergdorf’s Seventh Floor a new visit.
Have a cup of afternoon tea in the restaurant on the same floor, as I did, and enjoy the stunning array of detail in the craftsmanship of AERIN’s design.
If you love gold, as I do, your visit will not disappoint.
