Irene Langlois Living Room

I’m fond of theEnglish rolled-arm sofa (also known as ‘William Birch-style’).  This classic upholstery shape complements traditional, transitional, and modern interiors, and its low arms, loose cushions, and slipcover-friendly style make it as comfortable as it is chic.

This sofa’s custom white upholstery with black ribbon trim elevates a familiar piece of furniture into a statement piece and focal point of the room.  A sofa is a bigger investment item in a room’s overall design – it’s important that it is of high quality that will last decades, that it is a silhouette that won’t date or go out of style, and that the fabric and trimmings for the sofa’s upholstery can hold their own and yet contribute to overall aesthetic of the space. I love the solid white sofa fabric and the black ribbon trim.

PS – I’m fond of wearing black and white too.
