Eat In Kitchen

To maximize living space in a New York City classic six apartment, I like to recommend my design of a dining nook or eat in kitchen in close proximity to the kitchen.  This dining nook does everything right. The long L-shaped banquette features spacious storage drawers below for table linens, art supplies, and extra tupperware. Dark ultrasuede upholstery is ultra forgiving for all family members around the table, and the antique drafting table is easy to draw out for access to the storage drawers and only looks better with age and more patina. Adjustable-height lighting overhead, and pink patterned pillows complete the functionality and style of this small space.

I love using banquettes in eating spaces. Not only do they maximize space, they also make the space more comfortable.
