The ceiling beams of this loft-like space were the inspiration for this beautifully textured, patinated aesthetic. The beams had been faux finished, then faux distressed , and later painted over in white. To restore them to their original organic grandeur they were sandblasted down to the natural wood, leaving just the faintest residue of white paint.
The result is a look with a hint of patina and the suggestion of a lovely limed finish. To draw attention to the beauty of the beams and maximize the ceiling height, tall shelves layered with woven baskets and ceramics stretch to the ceiling peak. The style in this space just soars.
