Margaret Paige and Alexander Monachino Rochester New York

What do you get when two incredibly creative artists fall in love and create a home and life together? Peg and Alex, the amazing couple Vikas and I went to visit this weekend in my hometown of Rochester, New York.  Peg and I have been friends since attending high school together. She was one of my bridesmaids (lots of gorgeous pics of her to come in the How I Got Married Twice Series, which is casually extending itself from February into March lol), and when she called to tell me that she and Alex are expecting (so so excited for them!!) and inviting us to visit, Vikas and I immediately made plans to head up north to see them!

It came as no surprise that our warm, interesting, and artistic friends had an equally hospitable, cozy, and carefully curated home. In fact, the first thing I did after waking on Saturday morning was to take our my camera and with their permission begin taking as many snapshots as I could of the unmistakably “Peg and Alex” details that made me smile.

Truly fantastic details. Peg and Alex’s design aesthetic reminds me a little, too, of the home of another great creative couple I featured here on LTLYDA  in 2011, the New York City abode of Vladimir Kagan and his late wife Erica Wilson. What do you think? Do you see any similarities?

Thank you Peg and Alex for a wonderful weekend!
